These are the words that welcomed us on the website of a thousand years old village of Godešič pri Škofji Loki. Godešič celebrates its thousandth anniversary in 2006. This makes us, the people of Godešič - “the Godešans” very proud, for not many towns or villages boast with such an honorable age
To tear some moments from a historical memory of our past, we made a book Godešič through the millennia 1006-2006. We are glad the majority of texts were created by the Godešans themselves beside the renowned experts, who have been invited to take part in the project. We invite you and offer you a possibility to order the book via our website.
In this anniversary year we have arranged an interesting celebration programme. You can find about it on the website as well. We wanted to include as many as possible of our own performers and this way make possible to present their talents to the others. We invite you to attend these events and rejoice in our celebration.
